[Tour] The Story of Kamuy Chep, “Salmon”: Tracing History and the River.

Plan Overview
One of Hokkaido’s iconic foods is sake (salmon).
In the Ainu language, Kamuy Chep means “divine fish,” referring to salmon.
This tour offers an opportunity to learn about the life of this sacred fish. You will observe a natural river, the Chitose River, through glass panels and follow a guided explanation about the salmon’s life cycle, from fry to juvenile fish and beyond. Witnessing salmon repeatedly struggle against the current to swim upstream is an inspiring sight.
Additionally, you’ll enjoy a course meal prepared with every part of the salmon at the birthplace of Ishikari Nabe, a traditional hot pot dish. You will also have the chance to taste rare delicacies that cannot be found in other regions.
